1. Title: "Online Teaching & Testing Resources for EFL Teachers: The

               Way Forward…"

2.         Summary

The aim of this presentation is to provide basic information on available
online instruments while reflecting on their use for EFL teaching and
assessment purposes. To this end, a variety of online resources that can
be used to create a more dynamic learning environment and increase EFL
learners’ engagement and motivation will be demonstrated, while issues
concerning assessment feedback and practical affordances provided by open
online technologies will also be discussed.

3.         Bio

Specializing in EFL Testing & Assessment Jenny Liontou is Assistant
Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of Language and
Linguistics, Faculty of English Language & Literature, National &
Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her current research interests include
theoretical and practical issues of testing and assessing foreign language
competence, computational linguistics and classroom-based assessment.

 

Georgios Chatzis

 

1. Title: "The Coronaloveletters. Drafting Online Practice Tests with a

                Creative Twist"

 

2. Summary:

This workshop will give hands on examples on how to draft online practice tests using google forms which also can save teachers a lot of time on marking. It will also give examples of addons that can be used with the tests that can promote creativity and boost student participation. Attendee participation required.

Theodora Bogiou

 

1. Title: "Listen and you will be heard"

 

2.         SUMMARY: 

Teaching is a listening profession and listening is a virtue.

But is this virtue an inherent gift or is it a skill that can be honed?

How can active listening inspire your students to have a fulfilling learning experience and how can sharing their own story give room for creativity?

 

3. Bio

Theodora Bogiou is an English language teacher, owner and director of studies at Bogiou Foreign Language School and an Academic Manager at British Study Centers Juniors. She holds an MA in TESOL and she is a lecturer in teacher training seminars. She was awarded the Gold Award in Innovation in Teaching in Education Leaders Awards 2020.
